Nestled within the rolling hills and folds of rural Dorset, our 80 acre farm lies just South of the historic town of Sherborne and enjoys fantastic views over the majestic and ancient Blackmore Vale.
Our Orchards feature a range of heritage apple varieties including sweet and bittersweet - Sweet Coppin, Yarlington Mill, Harry Masters Jersey, Somerset Redstreak and Dabinett. Originally planted in 1978 and arranged in traditional rows that stretch across and hug the rolling Dorset hills, this sympathetic planting maximises the benefits from the warmth of the rising sun as well as the natural shelter and protection afforded by the undulating land and hedgerows.
Nurturing and protecting our orchards and the local habitat that surrounds our farm is both a responsibility and a joy. Early on we learnt that it's all about working with rather than against nature. The philosophy is simple, look after Mother Nature and she'll reward you with a bountiful harvest, in our case, wonderful crisp apples, full of delicious natural flavours and goodness. It's a concept that's worked for hundreds of years so why change it!
We love our cider but you don't have to take our word for it - This year Sherborne Cider beat over 500 national and international entries at the Royal Bath and West Show to win the Gold Medal for dry cider and the Worshipful Company of Fruiterers Cup for the Supreme Champion Cider….
